Mt. Pleasant

Sometimes potential residents would rather escape the hustle and bustle of city living, but don't want to compromise on the convenience that life in a metropolitan area can bring. Homebuyers facing such a dilemma often find the solution in one of Charleston's largest and most charming suburbs, the town of Mount Pleasant. Real estate in the area retains some of the pleasantness of small-town living while offering residents all the amenities associated with a comfortable life in the suburbs. A variety of living situations can be found in Mt. Pleasant real estate; everything from high-end condos, suburban residences and resort properties are all available for sale in the area. Commuting has also become less of an issue since the new eight-lane Arthur Ravenel Bridge, the longest cable-stayed bridge in the country, was built to connect Mount Pleasant to downtown Charleston. Homes for sale in the area offer convenient shopping, quality restaurants, pleasant golf courses and a host of other well-planned developments, all of which contribute to make this one of the nicest, most attractive areas for the potential homebuyer. The ease and convenience of life in this suburb makes Mt. Pleasant home to some of the most attractive real estate in Charleston, SC. Not only is Mount Pleasant close to downtown Charleston, it is also close to the beach areas of Sullivans Island and The Isle of Palms. Mt. Pleasant is also great because there is so much to do there. The Palmetto Grande movie theatre and shopping complex is one of the best in Charleston. Fishing charters are available from Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant. There are a variety of great restuarants to try as well. I would recommend The Post House in The Old Village. The Old Village is a very charming historic neighborhood on the water. Walking out onto the community docks there is a great way to spot dolphins and see incredible views of the area. |
